The 2009 Hometown Heroes Breakfast was a great success. Over 200 hardy souls came out at 7:15 a.m. to join us in honoring ordinary people who have done extraordinary things in our community. This year we honored 8 deserving citizens who have given to their community in special and unexpected ways.
The breakfast raised over $15,000 to support the work of the Blue Mountain Chapter. We could not provide disaster and preparedness services without the support of the business community and our individual donors. You make it all possible.
The Fifth Annual Hometown Heroes Breakfast will be held on March 17, 2010 when we will continue a new tradition of honoring our local unsung heroes. To nominate a member of our community for a Hometown Hero Award you may print the Nomination Form and mail to the chapter at P. O. Box 3067, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
